From June through August, the Capitol Museum is open M-F from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Saturdays. Walk-in tours are offered every MWF at 10:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. No registration required!Visitors are also welcome to explore the museum independently during our open hours. See the information desk on the first floor for a self-guided map and family-friendly activities.

Remembering Justice Sandra Day O’Connor
Our signature exhibition celebrating the life and accomplishments of Arizona icon U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is now open.Follow O’Connor’s story from her childhood on the Lazy B Ranch to her appointment as the first woman to serve on the highest court.

The exhibition title Am I An American Or Am I Not? comes from Fred Korematsu who faced criminal charges for violating the military orders to leave his home without due process after Executive Order 9066 during WWII.Former AZ Gov. Doug Ducey signed legislation establishing a “Fred Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution” in 2021, honoring Fred Korematsu Day for the first time in 2022.
